Vice President of Vehicle Programs Globally, providing the foundation, leadership and technical delivery of full vehicle programs focussing primarily in the EV start-up arena. 35 years experience in the Automotive industry operating in every aspect of vehicle delivery from initial specification, styling, virtual design, physical build, validation, launch and post SOP activities. Equally at home in the product development or operational side of bringing vehicles to production in a start-up environment. Identification and mitigation of all levels of risk at all stages of the planning and execution of start-up, development and operational teams and processes. Following 20 years of delivery in the traditional OEM, the last 15 years has been delivering full vehicle programs whilst building companies and teams from the ground up.
Ian Digman
Senior Director Technology and PMO (RLE)
Ian is a Senior Director working for RLE, based in Guildford, UK. Ian is an Automotive Engineer by education and joined Ford Motor Company straight after graduation with his B. Eng. (hons) from Loughborough University. For the subsequent 28 years he has held multiple leadership roles within Ford, Nissan, Infiniti and McLaren before joining EV start-up Switch Mobility in 2021. These roles have crossed Engineering, Business Strategy, Sales and Marketing and Product Management providing a complete view of the automotive development landscape. This hands-on leadership experience has been supplemented by an Executive MBA from Duke University, USA.

Dominic Ede
Senior Project Architect
Professional Engineer with broad experience in the Automotive Industry. Since graduating from Loughborough Engineering with a M.Eng in Mechanical Engineering, Dominic has worked in the Automotive industry in numerous roles, covering most aspects of vehicle development. During his 13 years with RLE International he has worked in Europe, Asia and North America on a wide portfolio of projects, from start-ups to class-defining hypercars. Dominic is intensely future focused and keenly studying the development within the mobility domain to meet the combined challenges of energy efficiency, congestion and the ever-expanding frontier of self driving technology. During his 18-month secondment to be employee #1 in RLE’s office in Silicon Valley, Dominic got to be involved in some of the most cutting-edge technology developments within the automotive industry. Dominic’s experience as a project leader for a variety of project types, from engineering delivery to business development and brings this experience to current and future projects.

Conducted an independent research project for large global ESP CEO to review current market positioning of the company against the key competitors. Report was produced which defined the key competitors, identified the USPs for each company and compared to the client's own. Internal intelligence data was also used to establish route cause for current company performance. The report concluded with a list of recommendations for the CEO to review with the C-suite executives.
Project Manger
Lead material cost-saving project for large automotive OEM client, from project RFI through to delivery of engineering changes. Created the contract proposals, through to negotiations and on-boarding of team. Team was distributed across high and low-cost countries to ensure profit margin target would be met, while providing value to the client. Project delivered £2m/year in material cost savings

Daniel Scaglione

Following a successful 7 year term in Toyota’s Purchasing team, Daniel has spent over 22 years working for McLaren Automotive and has held a number of senior positions and played an instrumental role in the creation of a global high performance sports car company, its product road map and its end-to-end Commercial function. Daniel was responsible for all areas across the spectrum of the supply chain, including direct and in-direct Purchasing, Logistics, Supplier Quality Development and Supplier Relationship Management. As Purchasing Director, he was responsible for a global supply base delivering against all of their vehicle programmes, both prior to their initial sports car, the MP4-12C through to their latest hybrid, the Artura. As Director of Commercial Affairs, Daniel was responsible for all of McLaren’s strategic partners and their contractual relationships whilst working alongside McLaren’s Board and Shareholders in defining and implementing their corporate strategy for technical and equity collaborations.

Alan Foster

Alan has a career that has spanned over forty-five years in the international automotive manufacturing industry. At the McLaren Group he held a range of Executive Director positions. Effective July 2018, he assumed the role of Group Executive Director for Global Facilities Management & Infrastructure Strategy, covering McLaren’s Automotive, Formula 1 and Electronics businesses. This follows a move in March 2017, from Executive Director of Operations, to Executive Director of Infrastructure Projects for Automotive. He combined world-class manufacturing philosophies with the exceptional technical engineering of F1. In 2009, he took on the responsibility for the design, project management, construction and commissioning of the McLaren Production Centre.

Leading a facility expansion project for McLaren’s Indy Race Team
this has involved dealing with the Team to establish their true needs, through to local and state government, to secure incentive packages. This project will see the team move into a purpose-built facility, approximately 3 times the size of its current facility. Not only to allow growth of the team, but to secure partnership and sponsorship through engagement.
Redevelopment of 66,000 sq ft office space
design and configuration of a multi company, multi discipline, 650 seat office complex. Designed to reflect the changing nature of modern working patterns and interactions. To provide and attractive and invigorating environment to both retain and require new talent.
Design, construction & commissioning of a Vehicle Manufacturing Facility
in a green field setting, the conceptualization and delivery of a 5,000 units / yr. facility to produce supercar of $300,000 upwards. As well as a functional manufacturing facility, capable of flexible manufacturing and rapid model changes, the facility served as a marketing and sales tool for the brand, significantly increasing customer enthusiasm and engagement.
